Chapter 31 Pregnancy Revealed

Catherine walked in the moment Edmond had left. Her face was adorned with an unassailable smile. "I just saw Edmond leaving in a hurry. What were you two talking about?" she inquired. "Do you have nothing better to do?" Jaxson snapped. His face was far from welcoming. A pest had just left, and another just showed up. Completely ignoring Jaxson's icy demeanor, Catherine set down the folder she was carrying. Today, she had intentionally worn a perfume designed to captivate men, flaunting it in front of Jaxson. She sat across from him, leaning in closer, and said, "I have something to discuss with you that's outside of work, but extremely important." Jaxson furrowed his brow. He loathed it when people interrupted his work for personal matters. If it was so urgent, she could have approached him during his downtime instead of barging in while he was engrossed in his work. Time was precious to Jaxson, and he had little patience for those who disrupted his flow, Catherine included.
