Chapter 35
The two kindergartens weren’t far from each other, so they went on foot, chatting casually as they walked—from their high school days all the way to now. The conversation wasn’t all that interesting, but it wasn’t awkward either.
The closer one to the neighborhood was a higher-end public kindergarten—small campus, but packed with kids.
Maria didn’t really mind whether it was public or private. Her only concern was whether James might find out. After all, he did mention he had a place in this neighborhood too.
The second one was a bit farther out, kind of in the middle of nowhere. But the good thing was, it was in the opposite direction of both the neighborhood and the Bennett Group. James wouldn’t swing by this place even if he was bored. As long as their nanny stayed sharp during drop-offs and pick-ups, they’d be fine.
After settling on the second kindergarten, Maria finally looked a little more relaxed. She thanked David warmly and even invited him back home for dinner.
