Christina's POV It wasn't until I'd marched out of the Nyx Collective building that reality hit me,I might have been a bit impulsive. But damn, it felt amazing. I was striding down the street when my phone rang. "Luna Christina ," Dominic's voice was formal through the speaker. I physically cringed.Hearing it out loud was so much worse than seeing it in text. "Mr. Everett." "Please, call me Dom. I wanted to remind you," he continued in that efficient Beta tone, "if there's no activity on the card, the account will be frozen before the next monthly deposit." I stopped walking. "Frozen?" "You must spend the funds. There needs to be transaction history, or the account locks automatically." I stared blankly at a shop window, my reflection showing a woman who looked thoroughly confused. What kind of ridiculous, high-maintenance Alpha mate card required "mandatory spending"? "Got it. Thanks, Dominic."
