CHAPTER 376: FAILED RESCUE

George stepped on the accelerator as he got closer to the meeting place; simultaneously, the whole environment felt scary and lonely. He couldn't understand how Carol could decide without first consulting him. Both hands held steadily onto the steering wheel while he continuously stepped on the accelerator. He knew if he failed to be there any moment from now, he could meet Carol's dead body. He won't be able to forgive himself for that. He took the next turn into the open land mass; his mouth opened in awe as he looked over the entire area while driving by. It was massive, and anyone could get lost there without care. After locating a good spot to park his car, he turned off the ignition and waited a while to see if he could notice any sign of life. There was none in sight. His hands trembled at the thought of where Carol might be. Was she okay? Had she been kidnapped already? He couldn't tell at all. So, he got out of the car and paced up and down along the car's body. He sudde
