"What's wrong?" Julian leaned a little closer, sensing Evelyn's low mood. His voice was soft, deliberately lowered, as he asked near her ear. Hearing him, Evelyn turned her head slightly and leaned gently on his shoulder. "My uncles went to confront George today," she said, voice low. Then she handed him her phone, with a sly smile. "My aunt sent me a video." Julian looked down as the video replayed on the screen. In it, George was seen slapping Emily Knight multiple times. The sound was muted, so whatever George was yelling didn't come through, but honestly, just watching it felt oddly satisfying. When the clip ended, Julian let out a cold snort.
