'We don't but there is only one way to find out.' She said confidently, but I didn't buy it if Connor thinks I'm going to just forget everything he's wrong. He'll have his work cut out for him. He will prove to me that his heart is and will always be mines. I tried moving my hand but the weight of Connor's head was to much for my weak body. Opening my eyes slowly he had fallen asleep. He looked so innocent with his long lashes laying against his cheek bone. His full lips parted as he took small breaths, this will be the first time I see my mate asleep. The thought of seeing this face every night brought a smile to my face. "No... No don't leave me... Lily, wake up please baby... Wake up." I watched as he struggled with whatever nightmare he was having. It broke me at that point I couldn't take it anymore. I leaned over and ran my hand over his golden hair. "Shh, it's okay Connor. I'm okay." I whispered in a voice that wasn't my own my throat was sore and dry.
