Chapter 9
In the seventh month of Vivian's pregnancy, something happened.
She had been eating without restraint for a long time, which had been a heavy burden on her body. She began experiencing intense pain in the middle of the night, and she broke out in a cold sweat as she lay curled up in bed.
"Honey… My stomach… I think I might be giving birth—"
She grabbed my hand, and the tips of her fingers felt as cold as ice.
"Don't be scared. Let's go to the hospital right now!"
