I sat across from Aldrich, my heart heavy with the weight of my words. The courage to speak didn’t come easily, but I was here, and I had to try.
"So, I’m here today to ask for your forgiveness," I began softly, my voice trembling.
"In the past, every time we had a disagreement, you were the one who extended the olive branch. You coaxed me back into peace, set aside your pride, and bore the weight of our misunderstandings because you loved me. If you could do all that, why shouldn’t I be the one to lower my head this time? This is my mistake, and I need to take responsibility for it."
