"You can ask me for help, but I expect to be given the proper standing," Serena said. "As for the project, that should be handled by the project department." Serena didn't turn to leave afterward. She calmly tucked a stray lock of hair behind her ear. The project department at Jansen Group was one of the most important divisions. If Serena took a position there, Howard feared she might cause trouble. However, if the project kept getting delayed, Jansen Group's financial flow would be in serious trouble. After a brief hesitation, Serena opened the office door. "If that's the case, there's no need for me to plead with Hugh. You can handle it yourself," she said flatly. "…Fine, I agree," Howard replied reluctantly. With a decisive slam, Serena closed the door behind her. The loud bang felt like a declaration of her victory in this negotiation. Howard's face turned pale, but he continued, "But since you returned to Jansen Group, you haven't closed a single deal. It would be easy to
