　　Lillian froze for a moment—but oddly enough, she wasn't surprised. 　　She knew Jeffrey too well. His pride would never allow him to work under Luke for long. 　　With the financial world in turmoil, the construction industry was inevitably affected as well. A company based in Usmalland had been courting Jeffrey for five years, and just a month ago, they had finally opened a branch in Druonia. 　　The Larsen Group couldn't give him what he wanted.
