Chapter 21

For the next two days, Rosalie did not go out and just stayed in the house. After Leah and Austin left for work, she and Vincent were the only ones left at home. Rosalie was not sure if it was because Leah had asked him to or if Vincent was worried that she might be bored, but Vincent had taken Rosalie on a tour around their house. He showed her the underground wine cellar, the garden on their rooftop terrace, the home theater on the third floor, and the swimming pool in the backyard. The two of them had fun exploring each spot, one after the other, chatting away occasionally. Soon enough, it was dark outside. In the evening, Leah decided to have a barbecue party in the backyard. She linked arms with Rosalie and started sharing the embarrassing stories she and Marion had when they were young. In the meantime, Austin and Vincent watched the fire.
