Elise thought back to the last surgery and realized Samuel must have said those things to her on purpose. He'd wanted to strike first. After all, she'd threatened him using Anna, which must have left him displeased. Yet he hadn't told Anna anything, nor let her know about the collapse at Harmony Chapel. He probably thought it would be too much of a shock for her fragile heart. Even though he'd been against the marriage and had grown distant from Anna because of it, she was still his grandmother, and he cared about her. Elise couldn't tell Anna the truth either. After all, Evelyn's heart was beating inside Anna now. She hoped it would last a little longer. "It's inconvenient to wear it since I need to use my left hand more now. So, I put it aside for the time being," Elise said. Hearing that, Lynette looked a little disappointed. After dinner, Anna called Elise aside. "Tell me the truth. Are you thinking of getting a divorce?" Afraid Anna might meddle, Elise shook her head. "No,
