The stubble on Xavier's chin grazed Lily's lips, sending a mild jolt of pain through her. Noticing the knot between her brows, he quickly said, "I'll go shower now." She glanced up at him, then suddenly chuckled. "I was just planning to give you a kiss before going to sleep. What are you going to shower for?" "You could try and see if you could sleep," he murmured with a low chuckle. "Of course I could." She released him and lay back down. "I'm tired." She was indeed feeling sluggish, and so was Xavier. By the time he stepped out of the bathroom, she had fallen into a deep slumber. After sliding under the sheets, he simply hugged her from behind and did nothing else. He got up again when it was almost dawn, but he felt refreshed after only sleeping for two hours. He sat at his desk, a smile crossing his face as he glanced at his identification papers on his right. Just as he was about to reach out to them, his door opened. "Mr. Fulton, Devereux Group has made a move!"
