He walked out of the door, then said a few words to the maid who'd come over with Marika, telling her to keep a close eye on the latter at all times. He also told her to call him immediately if anything happened. The moment he left, Marika slumped onto the couch. The maid, Anita Sandoval, went up to her right away. "Ms. Marika, are you—" "My meds. Get my meds from my bag!" Marika instructed while pointing at her handbag, which Terence had left at the entrance. Anita rushed over, opened the handbag, and found a red pill bottle from within. Then, she went back to Marika as quickly as she could. "Ms. Marika, you can't go on like this. This medication has really bad side effects. Why don't we just tell Mr. Terence and Ms. Maryanne?" Marika swallowed the medication. After a few minutes of gasping for breath, she felt the pain finally subside.
