Chapter 179

After Granny's arrival, I decided not to stay long at the hospital so they could have their time alone. Marcus came back in with Albert and he offered his greetings and sincere gratitude to Jenny before we left. On the way back home, I was silent. I just couldn't stop thinking about what Savannah had said. After several minutes, even Marcus noticed that something was wrong so he decided to ask. "Is something wrong?" He asked as he moved his eyes to me for a moment before moving it back to the road. "Uhmm.." I cleared my throat as my eyes darted over to him. "...it's nothing." I lied. "It sure doesn't seem like it. Did something happen at the hospital?" He asked again, worriedly. I wanted to tell him the truth about what I was thinking about but I decided to hold it back. I knew the only reason he did that was because he felt he was the one at fault for what happened to me. I know he didn't mean to do it; it didn't seem like he realized what was going to happen when he did it. Icould se
