"Why are you leaving already? Why not stay the night?" Rachel tried to persuade her. "No, I should head back… I need to bring Maverick some clothes," Heidi said, giving a weak excuse. "He doesn't have any clean clothes at the station. Without me, he'd probably smell awful." "You really can't stop worrying about him, can you?" Rachel gave a resigned sigh and packed a big bag of apples and sausages for her. "Alright then. Go on. Don't keep him waiting." Heidi took the bag and, once she was outside, she called Debra. Debra sounded happy to hear she was coming over. "I've been telling you both to move back sooner. I'll have Elowen get a room ready right away. Which one do you want? Maverick's old room?" Heidi felt conflicted. Staying at the Cadwell residence was one thing, but sleeping in a room that still reminded her of him as a teen was something else entirely. Choosing the guest room, on the other hand, would basically broadcast their marital problems to the whole family. Not t
