The phone Santiago held in his trembling hands slipped and crashed to the floor. Renata raised her head from the pillow now soaked with her tears. She was taken aback to see Santiago in a state of shock and despair. “Tiago?” She called out to him with a shaky voice, but he only stared blankly at her. He turned immediately and ran out of the room. “Tiago!” She yelled his name, but that didn’t bring him back into the room. She yanked off the duvet from her body and got out of bed. But as she stood up, she saw him standing by the door with the documents she had from Constanza the previous day. “Why… why do you have that?” She asked, looking at the file in his hand. He raised the document so she could see it better. “Where… where did you get this from?” “Tiago… you don’t have to get involved in all of this,” she replied calmly. “That’s not what I asked, Renata.” He let go of the document, the contents scattering all over the room. Renata gasped when she saw the documents spill f
