208 The Next Village

Now that they actually had something concrete to look forward to, they could not wait to get to the next village. At least that was the case for Kelley, Freidis and Erom. The others noticed their hurry and wondered what the matter was. Anyway, they did not share. The less anyone knew about the matter, the better. At least until they had made sure that Friggins could trust them. Freidis had nursed the fear that the men her father had sent would be able to track them and catch up but Erom assured her that it would not happen. He had taken steps, he said. She did not know what he was talking about frankly but at this point, she had come to realise that like a true leader, he could be trusted to make things happen. The village of Tapas was quite a sleepy little place and at first sight, it did not seem like anything much happened there. In fact, from the way the people gathered around and stared at them, it seemed like this was the only major thing that had happened in their town in a
