OLIVIA The next day, I managed to convince Margareth to see a doctor. Fortunately, there was still a slot available with Dr. Andrew Carter, the geriatrician Noah had recommended. “Hannah, I’m just going to take Grandma Margareth to the hospital for a checkup. Be a good girl and play with Mochi and Coco while we’re gone,” I instructed my daughter. I had already prepared food for her, and knowing she was a well-behaved child, I had no worries leaving her at home for a couple of hours. “Okay, Mommy. You both take care,” she said, giving Margareth and me a kiss. When we arrived at the hospital, Dr. Carter recommended a series of tests to assess Margareth’s condition, including blood work, a chest X-ray, an abdominal ultrasound, and an echocardiogram to monitor her heart health and check for any potential complications.
