OLIVIA While Hannah was happily playing with her friends, I settled in a quiet corner, sitting at a table and enjoying my meal. Madison joined me briefly for a chat, but soon became preoccupied with assisting other guests. I hadn’t seen Lucas, Victoria, or even Noah. Were they not attending the party? I couldn’t deny that I felt a sense of relief and comfort at their absence. As I was helping myself to some dessert, I noticed a server about to trip. Without thinking, I quickly rushed over and managed to steady her before she could fall. Unfortunately, the wine glasses she was holding tipped, spilling wine all over my dress. Her eyes widened in panic, and she immediately began to wipe at the stain with a tissue. “I’m so sorry, ma’am,” she said, apologizing profusely. I smiled warmly at her and gently stopped her hand. Taking a fresh tissue, I dabbed at the stain myself. “It’s okay, don’t worry about it,” I reassured her. “I’m really sorry again, ma’am, and thank you for helping me,” she
