Chapter 25

Teresa didn't want to listen to Rosalie's complaints about her anymore, so she walked straight into the main living room. When Patrick spotted her, he immediately stood up and walked up to her. "Teresa, you're finally here! Why did you come so late?" Teresa smiled at Patrick and explained, "An emergency patient came in just as I was about to leave work. I had to finish before I could come over." Rosalie's back stiffened at Teresa's voice, but she kept her composure and didn't turn around. Instead, she simply remained seated and waited for Teresa to greet her first. She thought that since they were at Patrick's home, Teresa surely wouldn't ignore her again. Even if it was just for show, Teresa ought to pretend a little. But the truth was, Teresa paid her no attention and acted as if she weren't even there. When Patrick rose to his feet, Cameron glanced over at Teresa as she entered. She didn't even look at him, as her eyes were fixed solely on Patrick. Patrick took Teresa's hand a
