CHAPTER TWO HUNDRED AND FOURTEEN – SOFT BREAK
As Helena's cries subsided, replaced by hiccuping giggles as she watched the llama chew contentedly on the dropped carrot, Rebecca felt a wave of contentment wash over her. This was her life now - a far cry from her days in Gilda's Bay, but filled with more love and excitement than she could have ever imagined.
"What do you say we end this adventure with some ice cream?" Luca suggested, wrapping an arm around Rebecca's waist.
"Now you're talking," Rebecca grinned. "I think we've all earned a treat after surviving the Great Llama Encounter of 2025."
As they made their way towards the exit, Helena safely nestled between them, Rebecca couldn't help but marvel at the twists and turns her life had taken. From a rebellious baker's daughter to the wife of a mafia boss and mother to a fearless little explorer - it wasn't the life she'd expected, but she wouldn't change it for the world.
