All the colors had drained out of her face and she ran to her car — which was parked at the side of the road — as though there were a pack of wolves chasing after her. After thinking about it again, she called her parents and told them to see her as dead and that she had no choice but to go into hiding. After hanging up the phone, Lucy drove out of the city at the fastest speed and left Brookbourn overnight. Once she was out of the city, she drove for another hour more before stopping at the side of the road. She heaved a sigh of
