Tina had spent two million dollars on a gift that she was told was a mysterious antique from Dasha. Since she could not make Wilbur stay, she would at least show him how she felt. Two million dollars was the limit of what Tina could afford, but she hardly cared. Tina drove all the way home, spending the rest of the afternoon sitting in her room in a daze thinking of Wilbur. It was only in the evening that she finally mustered up the courage to go to the attic. On the desk lay a pair of clay dolls, a bank card, and a letter. Over on another end, the plane landed in Seechertown in the evening. Wilbur came out of the airport, glancing at his watch as he walked.
