I feared that I wouldn't be able to let go of Zachary, so I changed my phone number after moving to this city. I also deliberately avoided anything related to Jeldora. I had overheard him mention the Capells multiple times. Once, I had even caught him looking into their records during a late-night work session, but I never thought he would actually make a move against them. After all, everyone knew that the Hendersons of Reyndell and the Capells of Jeldora had arranged a marriage alliance years ago. Despite being eight years apart, Zachary had always been waiting for Selene to grow up. When Selene turned 20 years old, he became a couple with her. However, right after graduating from university at 22 years old, she chose to further her studies abroad. The Hendersons were displeased with her decision, as Zachary was already 30 years old, well past the age to start a family. Moreover, Selene would be gone for four to five years. Thus, they broke up under the pressure of their famil
