"Jack? Jack!" Astrid's voice came over the phone. "You're crossing the line, Jack. You just got engaged, and yet you're here to look for Eva…" Jack took my phone and hung up the phone call, cutting Astrid short. Then, both of us looked at each other. My phone buzzed. It was Astrid, who sent me a text, "Seal the deal with him. You can do it. I believe in you!" Jack coughed awkwardly before returning my phone. "Ignore her. She's still wet behind the ears." I read the text, and I blushed. Astrid was still so immature. How was I supposed to "seal the deal"? Jack walked over to the table and put down the supper. "Have some food first. You probably haven't eaten anything." When I saw the pizza, I knew he had gone to the same joint again. Regrettably, I didn't have the appetite for it.
