Scarlett was visibly agitated. Her emotional response only deepened William's displeasure. "Are you from the Payne family?" William shook his head and added, "I heard of what happened between you and Leroy. You don't have to defend him. I understand what's going on. I suppose I was wrong about him." Seeing how disappointed William was, Nancy was delighted. "Ms. Payne, you should stay out of this. Otherwise, I might think you're after something."
