"Anna." A cool hand landed gently on her forehead like calm water settling over her nerves. Anna jolted awake with a gasp, clutching the blanket tightly. The first thing she saw was a familiar, handsome face. "Julian..." She blinked, softly murmuring his name, still a little dazed. Then all of a sudden, she flung herself into his arms, holding onto him like she was drowning and he'd just thrown her a lifeline. "Julian." "I'm here." Julian didn't hesitate. Wrapping his arms around her, he whispered by her ear, calm and steady. Her trembling slowly eased in the warmth of his embrace, her eyes gradually finding focus. "You had a nightmare?" Anna shut her eyes and kept quiet for a while. Then she gave a small nod. She felt the gentle rhythm of a big hand patting her back. There was deep, genuine care in the touch. "Don't be scared. I'm right here." His comforting presence swept over her like a warm tide. Anna took a few deep breaths, almost reluctant as she finally pulled back. "I miss Mom
