Boom! Clara felt like her head had just been split open—dizzy, everything spinning. "You and Ellie really...?" Seeing Clara's shocked face, Nathan looked even smugger. While getting up and pulling on his clothes, he sneered, "Ellie's been in my bed ages ago. Eugene's a fool treating her like some precious jewel." Then, as if grossing out Eugene wasn't enough, Nathan shot Clara a smirk laced with malice. "Clara, you came all this way just for that? Honestly, no surprise. Mom knew about it ages ago. If she hadn't stopped it five years back... Ellie might've ended up being your sister-in-law." Clara was shaking all over, ears ringing like crazy. Took her a minute to really process what she just heard. Five years ago, Ellie was still dating Eugene. How the hell did she get tangled up with Nathan? The more she thought about it, the colder she felt. Ellie... how could you be like this? Just then, Mrs. Bennett's voice rang out from downstairs, calling up, "Nathan, you up yet?" Soon after, she
