Chapter 27

Jade's pov  I opened my eyes slowly to light rays hitting them harshly, which made them hurt a little. The light came from a bulb in the ceiling which seemed to be the brightest in the room. The rest of the bulbs didn't do much justice to the room, making everywhere dim.  I lay on my side, with my hands tied behind me and struggled to sit up when I observed the room to see another figure, a female too, almost in the same position as myself. I squinted, trying to make out the shape of who it was when she turned and I saw it was Suzy.  Immediately, everything jogged back to me. How I ended up here and why my head hurt.  "Oh my gosh, Suzy!!" I called out rushing over to where she lay, away from the bright light.  She groaned before opening her eyes to look at me and I saw that her face was covered with bruises and a cut on her lips. As I remembered clearly, her face wasn't bruised before I passed out. This happened after.  She sat up slowly, groaning all the more in pain while I felt tear
