Chapter 52

Jade's Pov.  It was afternoon already and I had never been more bored in my life. I was having a crappy birthday just like any other year and I couldn't wait to go to the bar that evening and have my strawberry cake with Betty.  I stood up checking my hair in the mirror and saw I already had my roots growing out. I had to start making plans to dye my hair red once more.  I took up my phone to text Betty to get me some dye packs when I opened our chat to not see any of the previous texts I had sent. I remembered texting her about a bracelet and telling her to get me a strawberry cake as well. Or did I imagine that?  I felt my nose and brows scrunch up at the thought as I stared at our chat.  Just then someone knocked on my door.  I opened up the door to see CJ standing in front of me, a flower bouquet in his hands. He didn't look like he was happy to see me.  Was he still holding a grudge from the vacation time?  "Uhm...Hey." I said, slouching by the door, putting my weight on one foot.
