Before falling asleep, she still felt unreal. "Reuben, am I dreaming?" Reuben patted her head. "Sleep well, I'll be here tomorrow." Perhaps because she was sleeping next to her father, Callie had a rare, peaceful night's sleep. The next day, when she woke up, she saw Reuben leaning against the hospital bed, already awake. She smiled and said, "Good morning, Reuben." Reuben also smiled. Such ordinary days were very rare for the father and daughter. Tobias came in with a nurse for rounds.
