Chapter 50 – Turbulence

"Please give me a call as soon as you have a chance, my rose, the moment you arrive." Gabriel had a look of sadness and uncertainty in his eyes. He didn't want her to leave and she didn't want to leave him either But at that moment, Zeila was in dire need of her. She had to be with her during these trying times because she was her best friend. The agony in her voice tormented her; the Alpha King had mistreated her and written her off as though she didn't matter. Zeila was devastated. It was evident in her voice. "I'll get to you as quickly as I can." For the hundredth time, Gabriel said, "You know I would have definitely gone with you if the pack wasn't in such a gloomy state." "I know that, love. Every night before I go to bed, at least, I'll make sure I call you. I can't sleep till I hear from you, you know." He finally appeared reassured. She gave him one last, deep kiss before turning around and boarding the Jet. After leaving, the pilot shut the door. She gave him one more wave
