Liora's POV I spent the next few days packing for the move. On moving day, Sarah showed up looking beat from the road. She checked me head to toe, and only let out a breath when she knew I was fine. "Liora, why didn't you tell me you'd been abducted? I heard it from someone else, and I was really worried." "You were swamped then, weren't you? And nothing really happened. Alpha Kieran showed up in time." Saying his name alone made my heart ache. "Why didn't you tell me? I only heard because a friend at the Disciplinary Hall told me. I'm honestly heartbroken." Seeing how upset Sarah looked, I surrendered on the spot. "Sorry. This was on me. I promise I won't keep anything from you again. Whatever happens, you'll be the first to know." She fixed me with a reproachful stare. I pleaded, and only after a long beat did she finally let out a huff. "Never hide things from me again. We're best friends, aren't we?" Her gaze slid to the bags I'd already packed, and her brow creased again.
