Landry POV The gorgeous she-wolf lying in front of him, so weak, so frail – she looks nothing like the Bernice that Landry thought he knew. Once, she was a mighty goddess on the battlefield. Now, she is a sickly Omega, near death. Landry still loves her. He strokes his hands through her hair, runs his touch gently down her body, trying to soothe her as she moans in pain even in her coma. There’s pain on her face, so Landry kisses it away, smoothing out the wrinkles between her brow and the frown on her full lips. He trails fingers over the curve of her hips, the fullness of her breasts, resting over the beating of her heart. Slowly, he keeps touching her, pressing fingers and kisses to her feverish skin until she slips deeper into sleep, finally without pain.
