Sebastian stared at the incoming call from Nathaniel. A humorless laugh escaped him. Roxanne was on his blacklist, yet Nathaniel—the man who'd just hurled abuse at her—could still reach him without hindrance. He answered. Nathaniel's panicked voice blared through instantly, "Mr. Hayes, I've been working for you since graduation. Please forgive me this one time. Don't listen to what Roxanne said. I've always been loyal to you. I beg you to give me another chance." Sebastian let out a cold chuckle. "Nathaniel, I saw the messages you sent Roxanne. So, is that how you show your respect to her behind my back?" His voice carried authority, the kind that made Nathaniel tremble even through the phone. Nathaniel went deathly pale.
