Going Back to Normal

(Camilla’s POV) I don't know how long I have been waiting for him to wake up, but time seems to tick very slowly now that he’s laying on a hospital bed. The doctor assured me that he’s going to be fine, but how am I supposed to believe that when there are so many machines plugged into his body? My heart will only stop racing like I’m having a cardiac arrest once I see him wake up. And just like that, I think the heavens heard me because Kalel’s eyes begin to flutter open. My face brightened when I felt his finger move, indicating his consciousness. “Kalel?” I gasped for his name, hoping that I’m not hallucinating or something. It didn't take long, and he opened his eyes completely. I smiled sweetly at him. “I’m so glad you're awake!” I beamed. He looked at me with slightly furrowed brows like he was looking into a stranger. My smile dropped in an instant. What's wrong with him? Why is he looking at me like he doesn't remember me? “Who are you?” he asked. My lips parted. He can't be ser
