Chapter 28: Spill The Tea
As I entered Samantha's apartment, I was immediately greeted by the mouth-watering aroma of mashed potatoes wafting through the air. My stomach growled in anticipation—I’ve always had a weakness for mashed potatoes, and Samantha’s were the best.
The door hadn't even closed behind me before Samantha enveloped me in a warm hug. “Lily, it’s so good to see you!” she exclaimed, her voice filled with genuine happiness.
“It’s good to see you too, Sam,” I replied, returning her embrace.
As we pulled apart, she gave me a teasing smile. “So, you and Jason have finally managed to get out of bed, huh?”
I laughed, feeling a blush creep up my cheeks. “A girl’s got to have some fun,” I retorted with a wink.
We both burst into laughter, the sound echoing through the cozy apartment. It felt so good to laugh like this, to be in the company of a friend who knew me so well.
