On the way to the hospital, Jeremy said, "Cathy, I heard you're planning to resign. Is that true?" Catherine nodded. "I just want to take some time off." "That makes sense," Jeremy said. "Now that you're pregnant, your priority should be taking care of yourself." Catherine gave a small hum in response, though her mind was still on the incident with the madman. "Why did you even run into him? Did you call the police?" Jeremy shook his head, resting his chin on his hand as he glanced at her with a faint smile. His voice was warm and steady. "I beat him up too, so I guess we're even now." Catherine couldn't help but glance back at him. He didn't look like someone who would get into fights. Seeing that Jeremy wasn't bothered, Catherine decided not to press the issue and steered the conversation back to work. "Caleb mentioned you ran into a small problem. What's going on?"
