Chapter 13. Disappearing Act-3

"Some water, to sober up." He whispers softly, pressing the cold glass to my lips. I part my lips in acceptance, taking a long gulp of water as he smoulders down at me. To ease the heavy attraction, I take control of the glass myself. Dante obliges, removing his hand but still standing his ground. A crooked smile spreads across his face as he watches me sip and the grin is infectious. In a matter of moments, I have a shy smile adorning my features. "So where did you go?" I concede defeat. My feigned anger is crumbling fast. "Back home, had to drop something off." Dante replies rapidly, brushing tendrils of my hair away. "You are absolutely gorgeous. I thought I had an aneurysm back there, when you walked in." "Is that why you flung yourself off the VIP area?" Giggling loudly, I'm cut off by the presence of his fingers, slowly brushing my face.
