Chapter 82 I Keep My Promises
Kimberly blinked. "Huh?"
"Huh, what? 100 hundred people. Each giving 400 cc. That's no small amount, right? How many times would you normally have to set up one of these drives just to hit 100? I'm giving you a shortcut—one contact info for 100 donors. That's a steal."
Kim still looked hesitant. "But… this doesn't feel right."
"What's not right about it?" Rupert chuckled. "Okay, then—make it 200. 300. I'm flexible."
Kimberly awkwardly glanced at Talia. "Dr. Ainsworth…"
Talia asked, "Is the hospital blood bank really that low?"
Kimberly nodded so hard. "Very. The OB-GYN ward has several high-risk pregnancies due any day now. There's a strong chance we'll need emergency transfusions, and we're afraid if we don't have enough blood on hand, we'll have to transfer blood from another hospital. The delay could cost lives."
Talia knew exactly who those patients were. She had handled their cases personally. It was true—any delay in blood supply could have dire consequences.
