At the Parker residence, Yvonne remarked, her voice tinged with worry, "Look at the time now. Is Abby working late again?" Her eyesight had mostly recovered by now. Back then, she'd insisted on giving Abigail the freedom to make her own choices and some personal space. But now, she regretted it. She should have put her foot down and told Abigail not to jump into work so quickly. That way, Abigail could've spent more time at home with them. Now, even catching a glimpse of her daughter felt like something that required an appointment in advance. Abigail left the house early and returned home late. Even though they lived under the same roof, Yvonne and Owen hadn't seen Abigail in days. Owen raised his hand. "Relax. This is just part of working life. Samuel went to pick her up, and they'll be back soon. I thought you didn't mind it before. Can't you take it anymore?" Yvonne shot him a look. "Shut it. I just want Abby to spend more time with us.
