Skyler's lips were soft, carrying a hint of coolness. With every breath, her breathing became somewhat rapid, emitting faint kitten-like sounds from the depths of her throat. Arlo quickly regained his senses; he knew now was not the time for affection. "Don't waste time, I'll take you out!" But as soon as he said that, Ruben's figure appeared before them. "Where do you want to take her?" Ruben, with a face full of flesh, grinned and spat fiercely on the ground, his voice cold, "You dog-like thing, daring to ruin my good deeds time and time again! Today is your death date!" Arlo's expression changed; he knew Ruben was truly intent on killing. Glancing at the three bodyguards beside Ruben, and the slim man he had previously knocked down, Arlo estimated their skills were evenly matched. If it were just these three bodyguards, Arlo felt he still had a chance to get Skyler out. But seeing more and more thugs in the hall, Arlo understood that escaping would be nearly impossible. C
