Carol’s POV It felt like my entire heart had been ripped out of my chest and stepped on in front of my face. All Aiden could say to me at that moment was that he was sorry. What was he sorry about? That he was considering their proposal? Was he apologizing because he was marrying Katrina and keeping me around as a sidepiece?
