  The crushing weight on my chest vanished abruptly, lifting me with a sudden lightness. With a pained whimper, the black wolf was hurled backward by a tremendous force. As its claws tore away, they ripped a small chunk of flesh from my chest, the agony making my vision darken.
  Then came the horrifying sounds of two wolves tearing into each other. Raging roars, the sharp clatter of fangs clashing, the dull thud of claws ripping flesh. Hot blood and gray and black fur splattered everywhere.
  It was Jacob!
  He seemed to have completely lost his mind, transformed into a savage beast I’d only ever seen in my nightmares. He ignored the bites on his ears and head, pinning the other wolf down like a madman. He sank his teeth into the black wolf&#39;s foreleg—I even heard the crack of breaking bone!

  Jacob&#39;s POV
  Holy shit, that feeling just now... was fucking amazing!Fighting side by side with Celena, she commanded&nbsp;and I executde, that kind of tacit understanding is just like we were born to be a couple. &nbsp;I pounced on the debris, and she delivered a fatal blow, neat and decisive. &nbsp;I could even sense the connection between us. In that brief moment, it was no longer a frozen wasteland, but rather a faint, warm fluttering. &nbsp;

  Fighting this pack of wolves blocking our path proved far more difficult than I&#39;d anticipated. These weren&#39;t wild beasts lunging on instinct. They were trained, coordinated, powerful, with claws sharp enough to slice through flesh. This was an organized pack.
  I locked eyes with one who&#39;d reverted to human form—a bald, towering figure with bulging muscles, radiating raw strength. But... his movements were clumsy, his reactions a split-second slower than the others.
  My chance. I immediately applied the technique Lily had taught me: avoid direct confrontation. Instead, I exploited my smaller, more agile frame, constantly shifting position to create distance. Then, seizing an opening, I&#39;d lunge forward, my claws tearing bloody gashes into his flesh.
  This approach worked well at first. Soon, his body bore several fresh wounds, blood streaming freely.
