EVELYN’S POV
The night was thick with mist, the kind that clung to your skin like a warning. Each step I took toward the borders of Dorian’s pack felt like stepping deeper into the abyss. But I wasn’t afraid—not anymore. I had spent too long lurking in the shadows, cast aside like a disgrace. If there was anyone who could help tilt the scales back in my favor, it was Dorian.
