Every morning in Alex's household began unhappily. Alex slept late and woke up early due to overthinking. For seven years, his wife had been trying to conceive without success, despite endless efforts. It felt like pouring water on a stone. He was exasperated by his wife's relentless desire to get pregnant. It wasn’t that either of them were ill, but their attempts at conception had been fruitless.
