Chapter 45 Through the Storm, I Find You

　　Caitlyn's POV 　　The police took down my statement, and some female officers looked at me with pity. My body was covered in torn wounds, and I couldn't imagine what kind of torture I'd been through. 　　The rare kindness in their eyes warmed me, but it also made me realize something: strangers could show me more compassion than the people closest to me, who wanted to take away my freedom, my life. 　　As I pieced together the information I had, for the first time, I felt an intense desire to kill someone. I didn't even know what role I played in this drama. My mind was spinning; I had to do something. Facing such a conspiracy, I knew I couldn't run away anymore. 　　Running away was the wrong choice. I should have found Raymond by now and told him what happened. But then I thought of Shay, always by Richard's side. Something terrible must have happened to Raymond. 　　I wasn't sure if he would answer my phone, but I dialed his number anyway. My anxiety was rising as the phone rang, but no one
