After Uno was gone, I walked inside my bedroom and grabbed my phone, dialing Vernon’s number. I pressed the device to my ear after tapping on the call button and not so patiently waiting for him to pick up. “Yo Ash!” he greeted cheerfully, which made me roll my eyes. “Where are you?
