Josephine held back the anger inside. She no longer wanted to feel anything about the Jade family, especially about Lindsay and Lucas' relationship. She had made up her mind to ignore them because she had more important things in her life to take care of, but her heart ached to hear what Lynner had to say. "Why do you ask me?" asked Josephine in an even tone. Lynner saw Josephine's sudden change in demeanor and was astonished by it. "My parents talked about it a while ago," replied Lynner in a light tone, trying to break the ice that had suddenly turned tense.
